Same-day bookings and online cutoffs
Online booking is great until someone books a room 10 minutes before arriving while your floor is slammed. Two controls in Room Settings:
Online booking cutoff
The minimum notice for an online booking. Set it to 2 hours and, at 5 PM, the earliest bookable slot is 7 PM. Walk-ins and direct bookings are unaffected; this only limits the public page.
Disable same-day online booking
Stricter: guests can book online for tomorrow onward, but today shows "Same-day bookings must be made by phone" with a Call to Book button. Use it if your same-day flow genuinely needs a human: checking the floor, quoting the wait, upselling the bigger room.
Try the lighter cutoff first. Every phone call is friction, and some guests will not call. They will book the venue that let them tap. Reserve full same-day-off for venues where the same-day conversation earns real money.
